Ixis have been announced as a supplier for the Government’s cloud computing procurements initiative, G-Cloud.

The Cabinet Office made the announcement this week detailing the companies successful in fulfilling the processes’ stringent criteria, which saw only 255 companies selected out of more than 600 applicants.

Ixis was successful in all the three ‘lots’ we applied for - Lot 2: Platform as a Service (PaaS), Lot 3: Software as a Service and Lot 4: Specialist Cloud Services.

The £60m framework will hopefully see Ixis and the other suppliers move onto the Government’s ‘Cloudstore’, an e-marketplace where supplier services will be detailed and rated for future procurement by public sector departments.

Ixis are recruiting a Linux hosting systems administrator.

Your main responsibilities will include managing existing clients, migrating new clients to our platform or setting up / supporting systems using their existing infrastructure. 

 So here we are, December 1st already.

This quarter has whizzed by, and it only feels like last week we were at Drupalcon London enjoying the great british weather and the aftermath of the riots.  Its been a busy few months here at Ixis, as we have seen a raft of new hosting and support clients come on board as more Drupal users look to procure services from our reliable team. 

There has been a boom in interest in our cloud based services and we have expanded the team to meet this demand, with the addition of Gary W and Paul J.  We are almost fit to burst here at the office (and they wont let me get rid of the pool table to make space) so it looks like an office move might be on the cards in the new year.

Ixis would like to proudly announce that we new have a Red Hat Certified Technician among our staff who support our Drupal Hosting infrastructure.

Rob completed the course with a 100% pass mark and now adds more formal knowledge to the solid skills that Ixis already have.
