Diary of a Non-Techie in a Drupal World

Let me introduce myself – I'm Steph, the newest member of the Ixis team. I've now completed 6 weeks in my new role as Business Development Manager at Ixis.

The directors have taken a leap of faith employing a non-techie to drive forward their thriving Drupal development, hosting and support business.

Drupalcon Giveaways

As part of our week-long Drupal conference sponsorship we're resurrected our very popular Druplicon stress ball.

Designed by Mark D, the Drupalcon London 2011 edition comes in 3 limited edition Union Flag colours and features the grinning Drupalicon on the front and our new branding on the reverse.

Come visit us at our 1st floor booth area where we'll have sofas for a sit down to re-charge your batteries and chat about our support, hosting and development services.

Gold for Drupalcon London 2011

Ixis are excited to be sponsoring the European 2011 Drupal conference.

Having been a Drupal exclusive business since inception 7 years ago we've seen Drupal evolve from version 4.6 in to the power of Drupal 7.

We've treated previous Drupal Camps and Drupalcon more as a staff training opportunity - especially for staff moving in to the Drupal field full-time. It's been a great success for learning about new ideas, techniques and even for crash courses on existing components we've not yet had chance to play with at the Ixis office. This year will be no different as we take the whole company down to London for a week of mixing with fellow Drupal users and businesses.

Drupalcon pool challenge

Since getting a pool table last year we've probably spent more time than we should have done brushing up on our pool skills. If you fancy a whipping game of pool at Drupalcon give us a shout and if we (somehow) manage to lose we'll get the beers in! (** offer limited to 3 beers per person, just incase ;)

Drupalcon Copenhagen Here We Come!

That's right - the Ixis team will be descending on Copenhagen for a week of all things Drupal. The twice a year international conference for all things Drupal is being held in Copenhagen between 23rd and 27th of August.

We'll be in Copenhagen from the 20th August until the 27th and would love to meet anybody who we've worked with or spoken to over our six years of Drupal goodness - so please track us down or send a message to arrange a meet-up.

Le Tour de Drupal

On the lead up to Drupalcon Paris in September two insane Drupal developers from the UK are planning to make the 300K journey from London to Paris through the power of pedals.

Chris Maiden of North West based Menus & Blocks will be making the trek to Paris on his Brompton, a bike that folds to the size of a large carrier bag, has 16" wheels and only 3 gears.

Although it's a lot of fun (maybe!), they're hoping to raise at least £1000 for the Meningitis Trust, it's going to be quite a challenge and your donations to help fuel the pedaling power!
