Real Time Race

Real Time Race develops Proprietary Three Dimensional Immersive Video Graphics for diverse markets. These include Virtual Worlds, Nuclear Decommissioning, Defence, Commercial Simulation, Marketing, Sports entertainment and Interactive IPTV.

Ixis worked with Cheshire based design agency Webtek to produce the consumer targeted web presence for the software. This included a content managed platform, user accounts, discussion forum, Twitter integration, Newsletter mail manager, and RSS feed support.

In addition to the common content management features we also implemented an XML RPC based web service infrastructure to interface the web platform with the Microsoft Windows based executable demo. This allowed the authentication of users and logging of best lap times to the database for display on the global leaderboard.

As the software was featured on the BBC Click TV Show we had to ensure the Drupal based site would stand up to the constant waves of traffic generated from the international BBC audience. We utilized the Rackspace Cloud platform to ensure high availability for both the software download and web services.
