Driving Forward the Future of Drupal

The Drupal Association opened up its application process for nominations to the board this month and I jumped at the chance to apply.

The organisation is dedicated to helping the open-source Drupal CMS project flourish by helping the community with funding, infrastructure, events, promotion and distribution.

The board members will be tasked with raising funds, organising events and promoting Drupal on behalf of the community.

Having recently been fully baptised into the Drupal community I saw this as a perfect opportunity to support it and put something back into the pot.

Nuclear Skills Academy moves to Drupal 7 & Commerce

The Nuclear Skills Academy corporate website has grown over the years in to a commerce platform supporting their industry certification alongside their service and corporate information.

As their virtual learning service has expanded Ixis were briefed to create a more flexible and improved foundation for the Nuclear Skills Academy web platform.

We decided on a combination of Drupal 7 and the Commerce project to re-create the site on.

We Wish you a Merry Christmas

Ixis will be finishing for Christmas on Thursday 22nd December and returning on Tuesday 3rd January.

We have had a great year and want to thank all our clients and suppliers for their support over the last 12 months. We are looking forward to continuing to provide Drupal development, hosting and support for our existing clients and working with our new customers who have recently come onboard.

Christmas is Coming

So here we are, December 1st already.

This quarter has whizzed by, and it only feels like last week we were at Drupalcon London enjoying the great british weather and the aftermath of the riots.  Its been a busy few months here at Ixis, as we have seen a raft of new hosting and support clients come on board as more Drupal users look to procure services from our reliable team.

There has been a boom in interest in our cloud based services and we have expanded the team to meet this demand, with the addition of Gary W and Paul J.  We are almost fit to burst here at the office (and they wont let me get rid of the pool table to make space) so it looks like an office move might be on the cards in the new year.

TSL Education set ambitious plans with Ixis

Ixis was commissioned to create a website, TES Growing Ambitions, for the leading digital education business TSL Education, to support teachers helping young people discover the right career path.

At a time when the delivery of careers advice in schools is changing, TES Growing Ambitions will be a dedicated portal for the teaching profession to access a relevant and diverse collection of multimedia teaching resources for free, as well as being able to share information and best practice with peers and the wider professional careers community.
